Troops Arrest Five Suspected Railway Vandals in Kaduna
Troops of Sector 1, Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY), have arrested five suspected vandals allegedly involved in the theft and transportation of vandalised railway materials in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said the suspects were apprehended during an intelligence-led operation conducted at about 9:00 p.m. on May 11 around Kakau community.
According to the sources, troops acted on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected vandals in the area and swiftly mobilised to intercept a trailer conveying suspected vandalised rail tracks.

“The troops intercepted the trailer loaded with vandalised rail tracks and arrested five suspects in connection with the act,” a security source disclosed.
The suspects were subsequently taken into custody for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to safeguard critical national infrastructure and curb acts of economic sabotage across the country.
Security sources added that troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have continued to intensify intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks involved in vandalism, banditry and other criminal activities across the North-West region.
