NGOs Donate Relief Materials To Bida Community in Niger
A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) made up of Young Ambassadors Against Drug Abuse Initiative and Street Children’s Parliament on Sunday donated relief items worth thousands of naira to the less privileged, Almajari students and others in Bida, Niger state as part of its obligation and corporate social responsibility to the society, it was done to assist the community in achieving sustainable development.

The materials were supported by the Ministry of Humanitarian and Social Development Abuja. Mr. Nuhu Mohammed who presented materials to community people on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of YAADAI and SCP Barr Hajiya Zainab Khalilu Kpoton remarked that, “We are donating these relief items to our people present here today as part of our obligation being an Nongovernmental organization which is ready to work with relevant stakeholders to make sure that a sustainable development is ascertained and also, as corporate social responsibility”.
“ Therefore, these may not completely address all the challenges, but, we hope that they go a long way to complement your efforts in supporting children and other dependants in our care.”
Emergency Digest gathered that, the items shared were Clothes, Bedsheets, soaps, torchlights, etc.
In response, Mall Muhammad the head of the community, however, expressed his appreciation to the Young Ambassadors Against Drug Abuse Initiative and Street Children’s Parliament for their support and guidance in ensuring the success of this event and further thanked Hajiya Zainab, the CEO of the Non-Governmental Organization for considered them to be part of beneficiaries of relief materials. And he asked them to keep up as many people need assistance to change their lives.
Nupe Center observed that in the society organizations like YAADAI and SCP need to emulate them for society to achieve a set of goals that will change the narrative.
