158 Persons Arrested by NDLEA In Bayelsa

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Bayelsa State Command, has said that no fewer than 158 persons suspected of peddling illicit drugs were arrested in the state from August, 2022, to date.

The agency also warned youths about the dangers of illicit drugs, especially Colorado, saying all hard drugs were fast killers.

The Commander of NDLEA in Bayelsa State, Mr Mathew Ewah, disclosed this on Wednesday during a chat with newsmen against the backdrop of the recent spate of hard drugs-related deaths in the state.

City & Crime recalls that last week, a student of the Federal University, Otuoke, in Ogbia LGA of the state was reported to have died of an overdose of Colorado, popularly called Colours, in the area.

Also, a youth who operated a laundry shop in Yenagoa was said to have died from the intake of hard drugs.
