Kano Fire Service saved 15 lives, N100 million property in April, says Command spokesperson

The Kano State Fire Service saved 15 persons and property worth N100 million from 60 fire incidents recorded in April.

The service’s public relations officer, Saminu Abdullahi, told journalists on Friday in Kano that two persons died, while property worth N43.6 million was destroyed by fire during the period.

He said, “The service responded to 13 rescue calls and seven false alarms from state residents.”

The PRO advised the general public to handle fire with care and ensure they turned off any source of open fires before leaving their premises, especially those who cooked and sold food at night.

Mr Abdullahi also urged motorists to drive carefully and follow traffic rules to avoid accidents.
