Father, 73 kills son for disturbing his sleep
A 73-year-old man on Sunday night killed his son after he rudely interrupted his sleep in Cherangany Chepsiro,Trans-Nzoia County.
According to Police, the 31-year-old victim arrived drunk at his father’s homestead around 7:00 pm when the incident occurred.

“The victim, who had been away for four years, arrived home as his elderly father was napping. The victim proceeded to his father’s room, jolting him to wake as he lifted the bed,” the DCI said in a statement.
Furious at his son’s actions, the culprit grabbed a nearby rod and whacked his son on the head. He then proceeded to tie a rope around his son’s neck and restrain him to a sofa.
Concerned neighbours later alerted the police about the incident but when they arrived, the young man’s lifeless body was in the same restrained position.
The suspect is currently being held at Cherengany Police Station.
