PDP Youth Leader Killed in Imo
EMERGENCY DIGEST- As the killing of Ahmed Gulak in Imo is not enough woe, another set of gunmen has launched another attack in the state
This time, the victim was Kenneth Amukamara, a youth leader of the PDP in the Oru-east LGA of the state. Amukamara’s house was also burnt down by the assailants who also tried to kill one of his brothers
Disturbing report claims that the unknown gunmen on Tuesday, June 1, murdered the youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Oru-East Local Government Area of Imo state, Kenneth Amukamara.
It was also gathered that the attackers torched Kenneth’s house and damaged vehicles belonging to his brother who was also a target but luckily escaped as he is a retired soldier.

The leader of the PDP in the state, confirmed the mind-boggling tragedy in a statement. Part of the confirmation read: “He was assassinated on Monday night at his home in Awo-Omamma by assailants and his house was said to have been set ablaze. Sketchy information available say two other members of his family were also killed…”
Governor Dave Umahi speaks on the identity of killers in southeast had also claimed that those responsible for the rising security challenges in the southeast were Igbo youths. The governor made the comment when he was interviewed virtually by journalists on Tuesday, June 1.
He lamented that indigenes of the region, especially the young people who should protect the interest of the southeast as future leaders were the ones carrying out the attacks. His words: “Let our people come out to speak out that the unknown gunmen are not really unknown gunmen, they are our young men and women who will defend our land tomorrow; they should stop giving themselves to be killed.”
Governor Umahi had earlier ordered the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies in the southeast to shoot anyone or group of persons that try to attack them or destroy their facilities in the region.
