Birnin-Gwari: Group commends youths over protest against insecurity despite intimidation
Confederation of Birnin-Gwari Local Government Associations has commended Nigerian youths for protesting against insecurity despite intimidation.
This was made known in a statement by Sani Shehu made available to Emergency Digest on Sunday.
“This Union is proud of the youth that have defied intimidation and all forms of threat to exercise their civic responsibility by protesting peacefully within Birnin-Gwari Township for two consecutive days” Shehu Sani stated.7
Sani Shehu noted that the recent protest by citizens under the slogan of #ENDSARS, #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY, #ENDBANDITRY and #SECURENORTH have received a lot pf attention lately.

“While at some quarters some individuals with sinister moves are out there to belittle the progress this Union has made in pushing for action by relevant authorities as regards to insecurity in this locality, we want to state categorically that we won’t be daunted in our effort to improve the development of this community. In the last three years alone, this Union has made several efforts (too many to be mentioned here) towards ending this insecurity in this community” he added.
