The Concerned Members of the Kano Civil Society Forum (CMKCSF) have commended the federal government, under President Bola Tinubu, for ordering the release of detained minor protesters involved in the #EndBadGovernance movement.
The concerned members described the action as a progressive step toward upholding citizens’ fundamental rights and embracing the democratic principle of peaceful protest.
According to a statement signed by Chairman of the group, Abdullahi Y. Sule (YEDA), the release of these young protesters signals the federal government’s willingness to listen to the voices of Nigerian citizens, particularly youth, who represent the country’s future.

While praising the federal government’s decision, the CMKCSF called on the Kano State Government to adopt this gesture by releasing all detained protesters within the state, including minors.
