Fake Nurse Arraigned for Defrauding Over 45 Women in Enugu
The Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Blessing David-Agwa, a fake fertility nurse, before Justice Mohammed Garba Umar of the Federal High Court in Enugu.

David-Agwa’s arrest followed her handover to the EFCC by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on August 28. Investigations revealed she had forged certificates from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, to pose as a fertility nurse, defrauding over 45 women.
The EFCC stated that David-Agwa was arraigned on 45 charges, including impersonation, forgery, and fraud, amounting to N28,278,600.
David-Agwa pleaded not guilty, and the case was adjourned to November 12, 2024, for a ruling on her bail application.
