Reps Probe EFCC, NCS Over Alleged N15m Bribery Involving Bobrisky

The House of Representatives has opened an investigation into bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS). The allegations, made by social media influencer Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, claim the EFCC dropped money laundering charges against Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) after receiving N15 million.
Rep Patrick Umoh, who sponsored the motion, highlighted concerns about Nigeria’s image and called for urgent action. The investigation has been assigned to the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions, with a report expected in three weeks.
