Zulum Sets Up Transparent Committee for Flood Relief, Involves EFCC, DSS, and Others
Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has established a committee to manage the distribution of relief funds and items for victims of the recent floods in the state.
The committee, announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Bukar Tijjani, includes representatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Department of State Services (DSS) to ensure full transparency in the disbursement process.

The team, chaired by Engr. Baba Bukar Gujubawu, Special Adviser on Monitoring and Evaluation, also includes members from the Nigerian Army, Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), North-East Development Commission (NEDC), and other relevant state ministries and agencies.
Governor Zulum emphasized the importance of transparency, urging the committee to perform their duties diligently for the benefit of the flood-affected communities. Donations in cash and essential supplies have already been received from various individuals and organizations, and distribution to victims is set to begin today.
