DSS Releases #EndBadGovernance Protesters, Reaffirms Citizens’ Right to Peaceful Protest
Security sources have confirmed that on September 19, 2024, the Director General of the State Security Service (SSS), Adeola Ajayi, ordered the immediate release of protesters arrested during the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations.

The DG emphasized the constitutional right to peaceful protest while maintaining that the SSS will continue to investigate and prosecute those who exploit these rights to commit crimes.
