ICPC Recovers N4bn in 24 Hours, to Fight Corruption with AI
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is set to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its fight against corruption. ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Aliyu (SAN), made the announcement during the National Anti-Corruption Coalition (NACC Cr) forum in Abuja on September 19, 2024.

Aliyu revealed that the commission recovered N4bn in stolen public funds within 24 hours and emphasized the role of technology in promoting accountability and transparency. He highlighted AI’s potential in curbing corrupt practices, especially in public procurement, by reducing contract inflation and ensuring data integrity.
The ICPC is committed to integrating tech-driven solutions, such as blockchain and data analytics, to enhance its anti-corruption efforts.
