Wike Honors Security Chiefs with Prado Jeeps for Boosting FCT Security
In recognition of their dedication and success in bolstering security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has gifted brand-new Prado Jeeps to two top security officers. Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Benneth Igweh, and Assistant Director-General of DSS, Ado Muazu, were celebrated for their unwavering commitment to keeping Abuja safe.
At an exclusive dinner in Abuja, Wike praised both officers for their relentless fight against crime. He highlighted Igweh’s tireless efforts during his time as the Commissioner of Police for the FCT and Muazu’s exceptional leadership in the DSS, noting their contributions to allowing residents to “sleep with their eyes closed.”

In his speech, Wike emphasized that hard work and dedication deserve recognition while officers are still alive and serving, not just posthumously. “These gentlemen have gone above and beyond in safeguarding lives and property in the FCT,” Wike said. “On behalf of the FCT administration, we express our gratitude for their sacrifices and service.”
The Prado Jeeps are intended to support the officers’ logistics as they transition to their new, higher offices. Igweh, now in charge of Zone 7, and Muazu, promoted to the DSS National Headquarters, both pledged to continue their efforts to improve security in the capital.
Addressing the gathering, Igweh issued a stern warning to criminals, assuring them that, even with his new position, he is still committed to making Abuja a safer place. “I have more power now, and criminals should be on the run. I’m still here, and I’m coming for you,” he declared with determination.
This gesture by Wike is part of his broader efforts to foster collaboration among security agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of FCT residents.
