Customs, Security Agencies Tackle Illegal Ammunition Importation
Security agencies, led by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), are intensifying efforts to curb the alarming rate of illegal arms and ammunition importation. NCS Comptroller General, Adewale Adeniyi, disclosed this during a joint briefing, highlighting ongoing coordinated operations and intelligence sharing among security forces. Adeniyi, after a visit to Onne Port, expressed concern over the increasing seizures of illegal arms but praised the collective response aimed at securing the nation.
