NAFSAINT Graduates 98 New Air Intelligence Operatives in Makurdi

The Nigerian Air Force School of Air Intelligence (NAFSAINT), Makurdi, on Tuesday, graduated 98 air intelligence operatives in a combined graduation ceremony of three courses.
Sources report that the combined graduation ceremony comprised Advanced Intelligence Course 21, Intermediate Intelligence Course 22, and the Basic Intelligence Course 32 for Airmen and Air women.
The basic and intermediate courses, which lasted for three months, ran concurrently with the advanced intelligence course which lasted for four months.
The basic and intermediate courses had 58 participants while the advanced Intelligence course had 40 participants.
Air Commodore Adolphus Akins, NAFSAINT Commandant, commended the participants for their resilience and commitment to the courses, and urged them to showcase their newly acquired skills to boost their units.
He said that the courses commenced with 100 participants, with two failing to make it to the end.
He said that the participants underwent intensive training in the rudiments of intelligence gathering, and described intelligence as the backbone of the Air Force.
Also, the Commandent of 633 Central Armament Depot, Air Commodore Albert Bot, commended the participants for their resilience and dedication to the training.
Bot, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, said that the conduct and operations of the Air Force were built on comprehensive intelligence regarding the intentions and capabilities of the enemy.
He said that intelligence helped operatives to prepare and respond appropriately.
He charged them to utilise their skills to safeguard the Air Force assets and analyse information to produce reliable intelligence to support operations.
He also charged the graduands to constantly evolve approache to counter existing threats, and to be abreast of the dynamics of global security.
” I expect you to operate as consummate professionals, demonstrating the experience, knowledge and skills you have acquired,” he said.
Bot also urged them to provide the needed support to their commanding officers to enable them succeed in assigned tasks.
He appealed to them to be professional in their conduct and to uphold and protect the reputation of the Air Force.
“Your supervisors will rely on the knowledge you have gained here in critical situations,” he said.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates and awards to deserving participants.
