KYPC Kicks Against Call for Relocation of ICT Hub from Kano State
The Kano Youth Promotion Council (KYPC) has kicked against call for relocation of ICT digital innovation park from Kano to Kebbi State. The group has equally condemned the act of disparaging Kano State by describing it as a violence spot.
The President of KYPC, Comrade Idris Ibrahim Unguwar Gini disclosed this information in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen.
He described the call for relocation of the ICT hub from Kano State by the Concerned Northern Forum (CNF) as politically motivated and aimed at discrediting and tarnishing the image of the State.
The President called on the group to desist from such motives and enjoined them to instead focus on how to develop the entire Northern region.
The statement reads in full below:

The statement made by Comrade Abdulssalam Kazeem, the president of CNF, disrespectfully referred to Kano State as a place plagued by violence, is unacceptable, ignoring the fact that Kebbi State has faced similar if not worse challenges in recent years, And serves to incite division within the northern region.
