The police in Lagos State have commenced a manhunt for a man, Olamide Amusan, who allegedly killed his son, Adeyemi Amusan, in the Alagbado area of Lagos on Tuesday.
The suspect was said to have attacked the son with a shovel.
Lagos State police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident was reported by the deceased’s mother on July 16, 2924.

He said, “Around noon on the said date, the DPO of Alagbado revealed a report that on July 5, 2024, at about 2pm, her ex-husband, Olamide Amusan, inflicted his son, Adeyemi Amusan (19), a deep cut with a shovel.
“The complainant claimed that the suspect, who was giving the deceased moderate correction, inflicted injuries on his right-hand side with a shovel.
“She claimed that the victim was rushed to a hospital, but that when the injury became serious, he was rushed to the Ikeja General Hospital where he died as a result of tetanus infection.
“The suspect is currently at large but effort is on to arrest him.”
