EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed to Peoples Gazette that Bello, declared wanted months ago for allegedly embezzling N80 billion from Kogi’s treasury, has not yet been apprehended. He attributed the delay to the collective nature of law enforcement responsibilities, stating, “When a suspect is declared wanted, the responsibility of his arrest lies with all security agencies.”
The EFCC, currently pursuing multiple suspects, highlighted that Bello’s status will remain unchanged until his arrest, as the agency continues its extensive manhunt for various individuals declared wanted.
