KCSF President Unveils Agenda, Vows to Restore Forum’s Glory
The President of the Kano Civil Society Forum, (KCSF), Mohammed Bello has promised to work round the clock in collaboration with other executive members and stakeholders to uplift the association and equally restore its glory.
Mr. Bello disclosed this during a colourful event in Kano to mark the swearing-in ceremony and issuance of Certificates of Returns to the newly executive members of the forum by the Electoral Committee.
He emphasised that the new excos will work diligently in accordance with global standard best practices towards transforming the forum in line with the developmental agenda of Kano State.
“As the first elected Executives of the Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF), we are committed to transforming the Forum into a more effective and credible driver of change in Kano state. This plan outlines our vision and strategies for achieving this goal, drawing on global best practices and lessons learned from similar initiatives.
He therefore called for the support and cooperation of all members and stakeholders as he assured to establish mechanisms for reviewing internal affairs and addressing any crises within the Forum.

Additionally, Mr. Bello who is also the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the African Center for Innovative Research and Development (AFRI-CIRD) emphasized unity among members for the benefit of the state and highlighted ongoing efforts to resolve existing issues. The new Chairman of the KCSF emphasized improving communication flow and ensuring fairness and accountability as priorities for his tenure.
Furthermore, the President assured of his administration committment to developing the potential of the forum’s members by conducting a series of capacity building trainings while putting a place a robust Monitoring and Evaluation system to track and ensure its proper implementation.
The new leadership also promised to revise the Board of Trustee (BoT) composition to ensure a balanced representation of diverse stakeholders, including Civil Society Organizations (CSO) leaders, government officials, and private sector representatives.
“Our blueprint is designed to strengthen the organisational structure, enhance financial management and transparency, build partnerships and collaborations, and implement effective programmes and activities.
“By implementing these strategies, the Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF) will become a more effective and credible driver of change in Kano state, and will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the national development priorities in Nigeria.” Mr. Bello added.
