He made this clear on Thursday at the ongoing “Ministerial Sectorial Update for the Present Administration,” a program organized by the federal government to assess the performance of various ministers.
According to Lokpobiri, President Tinubu, right from his first day in office, declared an end to the fuel subsidy regime.
He said: “while governments worldwide subsidize essential items like agricultural produce and other vital commodities, I assure you that this administration is not paying fuel subsidy.”
Recall that the Tinubu-led government’s decision to remove fuel subsidy was prompted by allegations of corruption and mismanagement in the oil sector.
