That gory incident led to the loss of 13 police rifles to the criminal suspects.

A statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made available to journalists in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday, said the Force Intelligence Department Intelligence Response Team had “successfully recovered 10 of these arms.”

The statement added that some of the bandits had also been neutralised.

The statement partly reads, “Leveraging the recent charge on succinct intelligence gathering and sharing for effective operational deployments by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, the Force Intelligence Department Intelligence Response Team has made significant strides in the ongoing efforts to combat crime and restore security in Delta State and beyond.
