The operatives of the Edo state police command have arrested four suspects allegedly involved in cultism and armed robbery in the state.
The suspects Collins Edo Yusuf (27), Enoma Edebiri Enabulele (22), Agho Ehije (35) and Marauf Lasisi (48) were arrested by the Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit of the command in Okhoro area of Benin City.

He said the operatives, while on township patrol, intercepted two tricycles with many suspects, adding that four of the suspects were arrested while two other suspects escaped on sighting the police.
He said during a search of the suspects’ residences, two pump-action guns, one locally made cut-to-size pistol, three rounds of live cartridges and charms were recovered.
Adegboye said the suspects made statements and confessed to being members of a secret cult and armed robbery gang terrorizing Benin City and its environs, adding that efforts are underway to arrest the fleeing suspects.
