According to the source, residents could not ascertain the number of passengers abducted at Gidan Kaji but a Golf Wagon car was found abandoned at the scene which suggests that all the passengers on board were kidnapped.
“Though in an ideal situation the car could only carry five people including the driver but sometimes the commercial drivers overload.”
“They sometimes carry three passengers in the front seat, five in the back and four people in the boot making it 12 passengers. So, we do not know how many people the driver was carrying as at the time the incident happened.
“Three days ago, bandits killed one person and abducted scores at the same spot. What we understand is that the bandits have made this spot their passage and anytime they are passing, they abduct passers-by.
“Any driver that’s not so lucky could fall victim if he meets the bandits while crossing from one side of the road to the other,” he concluded.
