Female lawyer in police net for abusing housemaid
Four days after the placement of a Two-Million Naira bounty on the alleged child molester, Barrister Adachukwu Okafor by the Federal Government, the Nigeria Police Force, Onitsha has announced her arrest.
Reacting to the news in her office in Abuja today, the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister (Mrs) Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye commended the whistle blowers as well as the Nigeria Police Force for their combined efforts which led to her arrest.
She informed that with this latest development, the Ministry will be working closely with all relevant agencies to commence immediate investigation on the case to ensure that the law takes its rightful cause.

Barrister Kennedy-Ohanenye assured that under her watch, the Ministry will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of every Nigerian child, woman or the vulnerable.
The Minister therefore called on Nigerians to continue to provide security agencies with relevant information that will assist in tackling crimes and criminalities with a view to making Nigeria a safe place for all, in line with the policy objectives of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Administration.
It will be recalled that the accused, an Onitsha based lawyer had in a recent viral video, molested her 10-year- old house help and run into hiding, leading to the placement of a Two-Million Naira reward by the Federal Government for anyone that gives information that will lead to her arrest.
