NSCDC intercepts 450 rail tracks, arrests culprits in Yobe
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Yobe State Command, has impounded one trailer truck conveying no fewer than 450 stolen railway sleepers and arrested three suspected vandals.
Parading the suspects to newsmen in Damaturu, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Malam Adamu Idris Zakar said the three suspects were arrested by men of the anti-vandal units of the command with a trailer loaded with 450 pieces of railway sleepers.

He said the estimated value of the exhibits at purchasing level is about N3, 372,500 while the estimated selling cost is about N5, 922,000.
He said the arrest was carried out at Kandahar conjunction of Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State.
According to him, the case is right now with the intelligence and investigation department of the command.
He added that after investigation, the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
