But Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Benue State Command, Ste-ve Ayodele, told our correspondent on telephone that there were no casualties except for 29 peo-ple who sustained varied degree of injuries.
Ayodele said, “The crash occurred at 2100hours (9pm) on Monday. The truck was coming from Lafia road North bank axis going towards Gboko. I think the speed was in excess and that was why the driver could not maneuver its way around the roundabout and fell down. It was a lone crash.
“The vehicle was conveying cows and passengers. About 29 people sustained injuries and they were taken to the hospital for medical care. The cause of the accident was speed and it (driver of truck) lost control at the roundabout. Nobody was killed in the crash.”
