Some local security agents also known as Vigilantes killed four bandits after they attacked one person in Dan-Umaru village of Bena District in Kebbi State on Monday.

The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Ahmed Idris, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

Idris quoted the Director, Security at the Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, as disclosing the success story.

He said the vigilantes took positions and neutralised the bandits when they launched an attack on a village near Dan-Umaru bordering Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state.

He added that the victim is currently responding to treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

He said, “When the bandits launched an attack on the village, the vigilante quickly took position and ambushed them and successfully killed all the four attackers while on their way back to Zamfara State.

“The dead bodies were taken to Dan-Umaru village. The incident took place near Dan-Umaru bordering Dadin Duniya in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.”
