The labour leaders are barricading both major entry and exit of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The labour leaders said the protest is in line with the directive from the national headquarters over the brutalization of NLC President, Joe Ajaero in Imo State last week.
Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) blocked the airport on Thursday, November 9, leaving many travellers stranded.

The organized Labour gathered at the airport around 8:58 am to enforce their directive to members working in the aviation sector to stop all flights to Owerri, the Imo state capital.
The protesting workers blocked both the entry and exit way of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The protesters attempted to go into the airport but were stopped by the military at the checkpoint. As a result of the refusal, the protesters blocked the entry and exit point of the airport, causing heavy traffic of vehicles on both sides thereby forcing travellers to make their way into the airport on foot.
