Etsu Nupe confers traditional title of Lukpan Nupe on Wachin Magana
Etsu Nupe on Saturday announced the elevation of Wachin Magana from Giyan Nupe to Lupkan Nupe.
The announcement was made by the Chiroma Etsu Nupe, a member of the Turbaning Committee. He said the elevation was a sequel to the approval of the Etsu Nupe on the Justice at promotion and safeguarding of Nupe culture.
The monarch counselled the appointee to continue to offer meaningful advice to the Emirate Council and government on issues affecting the well-being of the entire people of the state in particular and the country in general.
By the elevation, Alhaji Muhammad (Magana) who is also Giyan Nupe becomes the new Lupkan Nupe, succeeding his uncle Hakimi Kataeregi, the late Abdulrahuf who held the title until his demise in 2023.
Alhaji Muhammad Saba Usman Sarki is the eldest son of the 10th Etsu Nupe Usman Sarki the then-minister of Internal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during Tafawa Balewa’s administration.

Wachin Magana is the grandson of Etsu Masaba who was the father to Shaba Mahmmud, Shaba Mahmmud then father to Etsu Saidu, Saidu then the father to Etsu Usman Sarki.
