Group Felicitates with Ex-CDS Irabor for Meritorious Service

… Urges him to join partisan politics for more national service

The Anioma Youth Forum Worldwide (AYF-W) extends its warmest congratulations and commendations to General Lucky Eluonye Irabor CFR (Rtd) on his retirement as the Chief of Defence Staff of Nigeria.

General Irabor’s sterling service and rise to the top echelon of the Nigerian Army before his meritorious retirement has in no small way made all Aniomas in particular and Deltans at large very proud.

General Irabor’s illustrious military career, marked by his dedication, commitment, and leadership, has been an inspiration to us as youths. We commend his unwavering determination and the sacrifices he made to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria. His remarkable accomplishments and the numerous challenges he faced with resilience and strategic acumen makes him a true national hero.

As an Anioma son, General Irabor’s achievements have brought immense pride and joy to ndi Anioma and to Nigerians as a whole as the result of the onslaught against the enemies of our nation under his command is visible for all to see and testify. His acsention to the position of Chief of Defence Staff which was more on merit than political, not only reflects his level of patriotism to the nation but also showcases the immense talent and capability that Anioma people possesses. We are proud.

However, following his retirement, we believe his wealth of experience should not go untapped. The nation still needs the expertise, wisdom, and insights of accomplished individuals like him to join hands with other patriotic Nigerians and the government in the push to redirect the country towards greatness. We therefore implore him to consider venturing into partisan politics and actively participating in the decision-making process, where his contributions will undoubtedly be invaluable.

The decision to actively engage in the political sphere will allow General Irabor to leverage his extensive knowledge of national security, leadership, and governance for the betterment of our nation.

Our nation stands at a critical juncture, requiring unified efforts to address pressing issues such as insecurity, economic development, poverty, social welfare, and good governance and as such, all hands are required to be on deck.

Finally, we congratulate you once more as we wish you well in all your future endeavours.
