How ‘Yan Saka’ Vigilantes Killed Fulani in Zamfara- MACBAN Scribe
The national headquarters of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) is calling on the executive governor of zanfara state to immediately arrest the leadership of the Yan Sa Kai in Chafe local government for the cold blooded murder of Fulani people in the town on June 6, 2023.
Reports reaching the association indicate that Yan Sa Kai went from house to house in search of
Fulani and killing them instantly for no apparent reason.
This act of barbarism resulted in the death of seven people and leaving four women travellers caught up in the chafe motor garage and women who had no inkling as to what their crime was .
The association has noted that several times in the past that the crisis in the state has a lot to do with the impunity that Yan Sa kai enjoy leading to several reprisals attacks in other communities.
One of the victim of the weekend killings , Alhaji Burti Aged 65, Was ambushed at a hospital in Chafe where he had gone to receive treatment for malaria by this lawless gang.

The corpses of the deceased were only retrieved following intervention by the military.
We believe the new administration in the state must open a new chapter by banning the activities of this lawless group, their supporters aa well as all other groups that take laws into their hands.
So much innocent blood had been shed in the state that a firm and convincing solution must be found to this unwholesome bloodletting.
The causes of the crisis are well known and the solutions to it are also very clear, it’s therefore UpTo the state government to take the bull by the horn and restore lasting peace for all communities in the state.
The association also call on the federal government to intervene by deploying more security to arrest not only the perpetrators but also their financiers.
The new administration is being tested in the resurgence of this sectarian violence and it’s up to it to be firm from day one in dealing with this unwanted calamity.
As an association, we condenm the the activities of bandits and the Yan Sa Kai in all their ramifications as our members are victims to both.
These two groups have pauperized our members in the last seven years by stealing their livestock a nd their ancestral lands in the ensuing conflict of attrition.
We believe peace can be achieved and all that is required is the determination by the state government to get the actors to sheath their swords.
