South-East Deserves 2023 Senate Leadership

By Usman Suleiman Sarki

Nigeria is adopting a Federal system that has three tiers of governments at Federal, State and Local levels with a view to carry the citizens along in the process of governance.

The country is composed of six geopolitical zones of which the leadership of the country is supposed to rotates.
Result of the just concluded Presidential election came in favour of south west because the President elect Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu is from Lagos State and his Vice Senator Kashim Shettima from North East (Borno State).

To have an inclusive government, the leadership of the Senate should be zoned to the South East and precisely to Senator Orji Uzoh Kalu (former Governor of Abia State) who has all the qualities required for this vital task for being a unifier and a nationalist.

This will help to a large extent in having a formidable Senate that will work towards ensuring the success of Asiwaju’s government in improving the well-being of Nigerians.

In view of this, I am appealing to all the Senators elect to consider and endorse Senator Orji Uzoh Kalu as the next Senate President.
I pray that the Almighty Allah will guide and support the Senate and the Government in the discharge of their duties.
