Ben Ayade’s Chief of staff Got an Attack by Gunmen
Some yet-to-be identified gunmen, on Sunday, ambushed Governor Ben Ayade’s Chief of Staff, Martin Orim in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The convoy of Orim was attacked as it made its way along the Calabar-Biase-Ugep Highway.
The well-known Akampa-Biase-Ugep area has been a notorious hideout for hoodlums to attack passengers and vehicles.

He was said to be coming from Obudu to Calabar, after attending an official function when the incident happened.
Orim, who spoke to newsmen, disclosed that the victims fled the scene unhurt, aside from some convoy vehicles that were hit by their bullets.
Incessant attacks by gunmen on the road have continued to be a source concern for residents of the state.
Earlier, the convoy of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Usani, was attacked in that area.
