Lalu sympathizes with disabled persons affected by flood, assures commission’s support for the victims

The Executive Secretary, Mr James David Lalu has commiserated with Persons With Disabilities in Nigeria who are victims of flood while assuring that the Commission, along with the National Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development “is working towards every possible means to cater for them.”

He revealed that Persons With Disabilities across the affected states can contact the Commission through our 24/7 rapid response WhatsApp hotline: +2347015370083 when there is need for evacuation as he had earlier called on frontline humanitarian actors to always “give priority to them when evacuating affected people.”

The Executive Secretary also sympathised with parents and the government of Uganda over the fire incident which occured at a school for visually impaired children in Mukono, Kampala on Tuesday, claiming the lives of Persons With Disabilities.

He prayed to God to grant the parents the fortitude to bear the loss.
