Preliminaries for 3rd National Life Sciences Competition Close Soon
The preliminary quiz for the ‘3rd National Life Sciences Competition’ (NLSC-22) will be ending on October 13, 2022.
The preliminaries began on 17 September (last month), with prospective candidates taking a virtual quiz at: https://www.flexiquiz.com/SC/N/3rd-nlsc-competition-preliminaries.
The Life Sciences Competition is an annual educational contest organized for science students in secondary schools and undergraduates studying science-related courses either in Nigerian Colleges of Education, CoEs, Polytechnics and Universities.

Organizers of this year’s NLSC-22 include Science Communication Hub Nigeria, Biochemical Society, TReND, University of Sussex, BioRTC, and African Science Literacy Network.
The dates for the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals’ contest are 15 October and 10 November 2022, respectively.
Then, the Grand Finale, which will see 20 finalists in the categories of Tertiary Institutions and Secondary School submit a 400-500 word essay on: “Contribution of Africa to Global Science,” is scheduled for 12 November till 30 November 2022.
Winners of the respective prizes shall be announced and decorated at an award ceremony, on a date yet to be fixed.
The first, second and third position cash prizes in the two categories, respectively are N100,000; N75,000; and N50,000.
Seven special prizes are also up for grabs in this edition of the National Life Sciences Competition.
