ASUU Strike: IBB University Commences Academic Session on Sept 5 By Lawan Bukar Maigana

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai will commence its Second Semester for the 2021/2022 academic session on the 5th of September, 2022.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Alhaji Baba Akote, on Tuesday.
This is in defiance of the directive by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) asking all lecturers to remain at home as the ongoing strike has been declared indefinite.

The statement read in full:
“This is to inform all staff and the entire students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai that the Second Semester for the 2021/2022 academic session commences on Monday, 5thof September 2022.
“The University Governing Council gave the directive at its 55th regular meeting held on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.
“Equally, all staff members are expected to resume work the same day. Students are please advised to heed to this special announcement in their own interest.”
