Kano, Enugu, Zamfara get new police commissioners
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Baba yesterday ordered the posting of Police Commissioner Abubakar Lawal to the Kano State Police Command.
The IGP also ordered the posting of Police Commssioners Kolo Yusuf and Ahmed Ammani to head the Zamfara and Enugu Police Commands.
A statement in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), said: “CP Abubakar Lawal, posted to the Kano State Police Command due to the retirement of the former Commissioner of Police S. S. Dikko, is a native of Daura in Katsina State.
“He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He has served in various capacities since his commissioning as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1990…”

The IGP, Adejobi said, urged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running in crime-fighting, public cooperation and safety.
The postings, he added, are with immediate effect.
