Man in Police net for alleged murder of daughter
EMERGENCY DIGEST- The Kogi State Police Command on Saturday arrested a man, Dauda Ibrahim, for allegedly killing his 15-year-old daughter.
Our correspondent gathered that Ibrahim, a worker with the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, conspired with some yet- to-be-identified kidnappers to abduct his daughter at the family house in Okenya along Itayi Street in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of the state.
However, Ibrahim was alleged to have killed the teenager and later mutilated her corpse. It was gathered that the teenager’s corpse was discovered a few days later with some vital parts missing.

Commenting on the issue when contacted on the phone, the state police spokesperson, William Ovye Aya, said that the arrested suspects had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
Aya said, “That was the report we received. We have arrested the man and the case is being investigated. He was arrested around the area command of Idah by the area commander. The commissioner of police has given a directive that he should be transferred to the state CID and we have done that.
‘’The name of the man is Dauda Ibrahim. He is an employee of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah. We have arrested two persons and there were claims that the father conspired with some kidnappers to abduct his daughter so we’re still investigating it.’’
