Deploy Your Expertise in Promoting Sporting Activities – Dare Tasks Para Sports Federation Members
Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Akin Dare, has called on the newly-elected board members of the National Para Sports Federation to deploy their expertise and skills in promoting the activities of sports in Nigeria.
The Minister made the call during the inauguration ceremony of the new board members at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, in Abuja.

Dare, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ismaila Abubakar, noted that there have been a paradigm shift in sporting activities since the inception of the present administration, such that the sector has been receiving the attention it deserves.
“As you can see, the Department of National Sports Festival and Para Sports was newly created in order to oversee the affairs of Para Sports and related matters,” Dare said.
On his part, Peter Nelson, Director of the National Sports Festival and Para Sports Department, charged the newly-elected board members to be committed to taking their Federation to an enviable position.
On behalf of the board members, President of Amputee Football, Paul Maduaka, assured that his colleagues will discharge their duties with utmost trust, dedication, diligence and hard work.
The Para Sports Federations inaugurated were Amputee Football; Para-Athletics; Para Powerlifting and Para Soccer.
