Police Kill Four Bandits, Arrest Female Arms Supplier In Kaduna
EMERGENCY DIGEST- The police in Kaduna said the Special Tactical Squad Force Headquarters, Abuja (STS) in conjunction with Operation Yaki, Kaduna State Command had killed four bandits along Saminaka-Jos Expressway in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Mohammed Jalige, in a statement made available, said the incident happened on June 15 when the police intercepted the bandits in a Volkswagen Sharon car, blue in colour and driven by one James Dawi, m, 31, of Vom town, Jos South LGA of Plateau State.
He explained that the suspect sensing danger posed on their way to deliver some dangerous weapons to their cohorts engaged the operatives in a gunfire exchange.

“The operatives with tactical precision were able to terminally injure four suspects. The injured suspects were evacuated to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna where they were pronounced dead by a medical doctor,” he said.
Jalige added that some members of the gang escaped into the forest with bullet wounds.
He said when a search was conducted in the vehicle and around the vicinity, one Ak49 rifle loaded with six rounds of live ammunition, one Ak47 rifle, one empty magazine, 134 rounds of different calibers of live ammunition and an operational motor vehicle were recovered.
He also said the operation led to the arrest of a female accomplice who during the course of the investigation confessed to be supplying arms and ammunition to bandits within Kaduna State.
He said the discreet investigation into the case had begun to unravel the identities of other members of the gang and find the source of the weapons.
