Migrate academics to UTAS, college lecturers tell FG
EMERGENCY DIGEST- The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) has asked the Federal Government to adopt the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS), developed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), as a payment platform for lecturers.

Deploring the continuous use of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) by the Federal Government to pay its members, the union said the government had no excuse in migrating academics in tertiary institutions to UTAS.
“For the umpteenth time, the union is calling on the Federal Government to adopt the home-grown UTAS developed by ASUU as a payment platform for academics in tertiary institutions in Nigeria,” it added.
