Environment Protection: Nigeria, Poland Discuss Areas of Cooperation
The Federal Government, FG, and the Republic of Poland have stressed the need for a bilateral cooperation that will ensure the protection of the natural environment, in both countries.
This was at a meeting between the Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, and the Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Joanna Tarnawska.
Minister of State for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor, was also present at the meeting, held in Abuja.

In his remark, Abdullahi, disclosed that measures have been put in place to tackle perennial flooding in the country, while also controlling the menace of waste pollution.
According to him, FG is assiduously working towards getting the support of State Governments in developing an effective waste management system, driven by technology, for the nation’s benefit.
On her part, Ikeazor, said that the Nigeria will appreciate the support of the Polish Government in the areas of biodiversity conversation and green technology.
Tarnawska, while speaking earlier, underscored the need for a sustainable energy transition.
The Polish Ambassador, stressed the need for the two countries to look for new avenues of cooperation and work together for a better and cleaner environment.
