FG to Tackle Erosion, Flooding at Uke
Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, disclosed that the various environmental challenges affecting the town and people of Uke in Nasarawa State, will soon be addressed.
He made this known while hosting the paramount traditional leader of Uke Emirate, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Abdullahi, today.
The Uke Chief on Friday led a delegation to pay Dr. Abdullahi a courtesy call, at the Ministry.

The Environment Minister, reiterated federal government’s commitment to launching programmes and policies that will help address the myriad of environmental challenges facing the entire country, and not only Uke.
He assured the Uke traditional leader and his delegation that the Ministry will collaborate with the Emirate in tackling issues of erosion, and flooding, among other environmental issues, troubling the community.
While speaking, Dr. Hassan Abdullahi, said their visit to the Minister was necessitated by the need to establish a mutual relationship between Uke Emirate and the Environment Ministry, in order to cushion the effects of climate change in their community.
