Jubilation as OPHD Troops Kill Scores of Bandits in Zamfara
Troops of the Joint Task Force Northwest of Operation HADARIN DAJI, OPHD, deployed at Bakura Local Government Areas of Zamfara State have neutralized 15 Bandits who invaded Sabon Gari Area of Bakura Town during the evening hours of Tuesday 19 April, 2022 and started shooting sporadically after rustling large Number of cattles.
According to sources at Bakura town who spoke to Media Smarts Nigeria, said, the Bandits arrived the area in their large number carrying dangerous weapons.

The OPHD Troops who swiftly responded to distress call, engaged the Bandits in a heavy fire fight that lasted for almost 2 hours. However with the troops superior fire power made the Bandits to abandoned the rustle cattle and flee towards Kurunkudu forest with several degrees of gunshot wounds.
Media Smarts has also gathered from the locals that after the fire battle with the bandits, the gallant troops killed about fifteen of them while others were seen been carried with several gunshot injuries moving towards the forest.
” We are happy with the quick response of the Nigerian Army Troops here at Bakura, they have assisted us in killing scores of the Bandits who invaded our community and they also help us to recover all the rustle cattle stolen by the bandits” a resident confirmed.
He further stated that One local was killed by the bandits while 5 locals sustained injuries and they are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Bakura.
