Civil Society Group Commends Chief of Air Staff for Professionalism
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Mashall Isiaka Oladayo Amao has been commended on the reorganisation of the Air Force which is key to Nigeria quest in ending the war against insurgency with more air power promptly deployed on the field in supporting land forces while sustaining the current victories against the insurgents.
Commenting on the activities and achievements of the Air Force in recent time during an interactive session with journalists in Abuja, the Civil Society Group For Good Governance and Restore Nigeria Integrity Initiative, Abuja after conducting independent field investigations on the impact of the Air Force to the ongoing war against the insurgency with the recent delivery of the Tucano Jets; the Civil Societies Group reiterated the importance of professionalism, intelligence gathering and sharing among armed forces and paramilitary forces to nip in the bud the activities of the insurgents before they reached their targets and carry out havoc as the efforts of the Air Force shall be so complemented in doing so.

“The morale of Nigerian troops and confidence must be bolstered at all times to increase efficiency of performance and enhance delivery of positive results by ensuring that troops are motivated and encourage”, the Civil Society group urged the Chief of Air Staff who was a field officer and a former Air Component Commander of the Operation against the insurgency tagged: Zaman Lafiya Dole in the North East.
While commending the Chief of Air Staff, Isiaka Oladayo Amao, the Air Force Boss, who was also the Air Officer Commanding Tactical Air Command (TAC), for his innovative leadership, the President of the Group, Comrade Dominic Ogakwu expressed joy and happiness on the progress made so far in fighting the insurgents to a stand still without looking back while at the same time encouraging professionalism and repositioning of the force in such manner that only competent officers are given tactical commands which can be seen in the swiftness and precision of the Air Force in recent air raiding of the bandits; therefore becoming a partner in progress and against the war on insurgency.
