ISWAP Attack Damboa, Raze Health Facility

Armed men suspected to be members of Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, commonly known as Boko Haram had attacked the headquarters of Damboa Local Government on Wednesday and razed the pharmacy section of the Damboa Primary Health Care Facility.

The source said that the attackers invaded the town after everyone had retired to bed, saying: “The attack happened in the night, around 1 am, but they already burnt the pharmacy of the Primary Health Care Facility before they were tackled by soldiers and members of the Damboa Civilian Joint Task Force.”
It was said that no life was lost to the attack and normalcy has been restored in the town.

The attack has been corroborated by an elderly man who resides in Damboa.
