2 Herders Killed, One Injured In Fresh Plateau Attack

No fewer than two Fulani herders were on Wednesday evening shot dead while one other was injured in separate attacks in two villages of Jos South Local Government Area of the State.

The renewed attack is coming two days after herders accused the Rigwe of poisoning their cattle while the latter on the other hand accused the Fulani of killing five of their members in some villages of Bassa Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.

However, on Thursday, the State Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), alleged that on Wednesday, Rigwe ethnic group, killed two Fulani herders, adding that the bodies of the deceased were recovered together with security personnel including DCO Jos South and soldiers from Operation Safe Haven (OPSH).

But the spokesperson for the Rigwe ethnic group, Davidson Malison, debunked the allegation, describing it as baseless and unfounded.
