Ramadan Period: What You Need To Know About Equinox

Today being the 21st of March is an important day to geographers as it is the day the spring equinox is experienced. As we were taught in elementary geography, Equinox is when the sun is directly overhead at the equator, this results in having equal day and night in topical areas.

This means from today the length of the day will be increasing in the Northern hemisphere while that of the night will be reducing. Also the duration of sunshine will increase, hence higher temperature will be experienced within the region.
From the above, it can be understood that this year’s Ramadan period will not be much different from last year’s as the fasting period will be more than 12 hours and the temperature will be high as well.
