Honourable Farouk Adamu Aliyu: An Icon of Economic Transformation and Human Development

Jigawa State, also known as ‘The New World’ is blessed with a vast number of natural resources that could be explored and utilized in building and achieving a sustainable economic development in the state. One of such resources is the fertile land for agricultural production and human resources.
The state is also blessed with economically well to do people that can explore the potentials of the said resources but unfortunately they couldn’t consider that as their priority and take advantage of it. Nevertheless, Honourable Farouk Adamu Aliyu Birnin Kudu who is known as the ‘Father of Entrepreneurship’ in the state, established a Mega Farm “Malam Alu Integrated Farm” where over 1000 people were employed to work in different sections of the farm.
The farm comprised several sections including; tomatoes production, fertilizer processing and cattle breeding among a host of others. This has apparently reduced the level of unemployment among teeming youths which by implication reduces the chances of committing crimes and other security breaches in the state.

Another giant effort made by Honourable Aliyu is the facilitation for the handover of Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital to Federal University Dutse as teaching Hospital which is a requisite requirement for the takeoff of MBBS programme in the University so that Jigawa State indigenes and other students across the country can study medical courses at the University.
More so, Mr. Adamu out of his passion for educational development, he also expedited the establishment of another new Federal University of Technology sited at Babura Local Government Area which is about to start operating very soon. In addition, Mr. Adamu has been relentless in human capacity building as he continued to strive in securing employment opportunities to Jigawa indigenes across various Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals in accordance with the doctrine of the Federal Character Commission.
In light of the above, I personally believe and have a conviction that Honourable Adamu will set in a new motion of economic transformation and human development when given the chance and mandate. Accordingly, I hereby make an appeal to Honourable Adamu to offer himself for the continuous service to the people in the capacity of Jigawa State Governor in the upcoming 2023 elections. I pray that Adamu will look into this appeal and make further sacrifices for the betterment of Jigawa State.
